Kristin Stafford joins CCI

Kristin Stafford is a second year graduate student in Dr. Kyoung-Shin Choi’s research group at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She completed her BS at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana conducting research on direct formic acid fuel cells in the chemical engineering department. Her current research focuses on heterogeneous transition metal oxygen evolution catalysts for use in solar water splitting cells. Another area of research is catalysis of organic molecule oxidation for biofuel production. She is a member of the Graduate Student-Faculty Liaison Committee, Energy Hub (an energy-focused and student run-UW organization) and Iota Sigma Pi (honors fraternity for women in chemistry). In her free time, she enjoys cooking, dancing and being outdoors.
