Tanvi Ratani joins CCI

Tanvi Ratani did her undergraduate work at the University of Michigan  with Prof. Raoul Kopelman and Prof. Nate Szymczak. Her work in the Szymczak group used pi-basic W and Mo complexes for potential activation of borazine. This is what encouraged her to go into inorganic chemistry,

She is now a fourth year graduate student in Jonas Peters' group. She has focused on mechanistic work of photocatalytic reactions  photoinduced, copper-catalyzed C-C and C-N bond formation reactions. She is currently working on photocatalytic nitrite reduction on a Co electron relay. She has a NSF Fellowship.
