Michael Bender joins CCI

Michael is originally from New Jersey and graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2015 with a BA in chemistry.  During his undergraduate studies he conducted research in Prof. Joshua Farrell's lab focused on employing Mannich condensations and reductive aminations to synthesize novel aminophenol ligands.  In the summer of 2014 he took part in a REU program in which he engaged in research at Sandia National Labs focused on developing materials for use as high quality nanoinks.

Michael is currently a graduate student in Kyoung-Shin Choi's group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is working on oxygen evolution catalysts for use in photoeltrochemical water splitting devices.
